The most recent questionnaire was completed as part of our last Ofsted Inspection.  Please see the Parent View page.

The vast majority of parents spoken to during the inspection, and those who responded to Ofsted’s online questionnaire, Parent View, were very positive about the school. Comments included: ‘I think, by attending Romanby Primary School, my children are receiving the best start in their academic life.’ Another parent said: ‘Romanby school has a fantastic caring culture.’ While a third parent summed up the views of many, saying, ‘I couldn’t wish for any more in my child’s primary school.’

Just before our inspection we asked parents for their views on our curriculum.  The comments received are below.

Parent Comments about the curriculum from questionnaire July 2109

Outside learning/Forrest school.  More visitors. More road safety. More computer time.

If possible it would be great if their reading books were in line with the topics. It would also be great if parents could be given a list of which topics would be covered that term in advance of the start of the term (rather than the week they have already started) so we could buy supporting material for at home.

Taking part of the curriculum out of the institutional nature of the schooling system is indeed a good idea. I believe that would help the children's social intelligence and community awareness more. I had always wondered about the need for schools to teach small children a bit more effectively about personal safety and raise their awareness about their expected social and personal rights in a well-structured and informative manner

Lots of visits and extra curriculum activities make learning fun. You're all doing a far better than average job
