Clothing
We encourage children to wear our school clothing. These items can be generic items and do not have to be branded and can be purchased from a variety of retailers. For branded items have two suppliers for school clothing who provide dedicated websites www.school-shop.co.uk and https://myclothing.com/romanby-primaryschool/23251.school where you can buy clothing online. The websites display the specific products for our school. All items can be ordered through the online shops and only take 2-3 days to arrive. You can also place orders by phone, email or fax, and payment can be taken over the phone should you wish to order in any of these ways.
Should you have any problems placing an order please contact the school office who will provide you with instructions.
Our clothing is comprised of;
- Navy sweatshirt or cardigan
- Red or white shirt / polo shirt
- Plain dark coloured trousers, shorts, skirts, summer dresses or pinafore dresses
- Dark coloured flat soled shoes
We also ask parents to provide a P.E. kit which should include;
- Plain white T-shirt
- Plain dark coloured shorts
- Plimsolls / Trainers for outdoor work
- A tracksuit or sweatshirt / jogging bottoms can also be useful in colder weather.
The children’s P.E. kit should be brought into school each Monday morning in a bag and taken home for washing each Friday.
Jewellery should not be worn in school for reasons of safety. If ears are pierced, stud ear-rings can be worn but must be removed or taped over for P.E. / Games.
The school cannot accept responsibility for the loss or damage of items of jewellery and watches.
We ask parents that items of value are not brought to school. This includes mobile phones etc.
It also makes life easier for everyone if all items of clothing, including shoes, are marked with your child’s name. That way if items are misplaced and then found they can quickly be returned to their owner.
