This year Rights Respecting School

Who we are;

We are elected representatives from each class who look at ways we can improve our school.  We vote for new representatives at the start of each year.

This year we have re-validated our Silver Rights Respecting School Award. The assessor stated

"children are clear how they act to ensure a rights respecting environment in school, with a strong focus on equality. Pupils have a positive attitude towards their learning ‘teachers make lesson fun’ and ‘we work as a team and support each other.’

Silver Award report November 2020

Each representative is known as a School Ambassador.  They all wear a special Rights Respecting School badge so that you can see who they are.

What we are busy with at the moment;

Last year we supported the Northallerton Restarting Hearts charity and Save the Children charity by raising money through non-uniform days.  We also made some changes to playtimes by choosing some new adventure play equipment.  We also raised £230 for Sport Relief by each running a mile around school!

This year we have supported Save the Children's Christmas Jumper Day, Children in Need and Hambleton Foodshare.
