A busy week ahead !

Reception and KS1 children are visiting Romanby Methodist Church as part of their Easter celebrations and also going to Lovesome Hill Farm as part of their Imaginative Learning Project.  Y3/4 are getting ready for their performances of Mystery at Magpie Manor.  Y5/6 are inviting parents into view their Art Gallery work while Reception parents are coming to "Drop Everything and Play" with their children.  We have children at the County gymnastics finals and Sportshall Athletics events plus Y1/2 are having a cake sale to raise money for Guide Dogs after their visit last week.  We break up for the Easter holiday on Friday!

Parent Survey

Y5/6 work with an artist

This week we had a professional artist called Neil McBride, in school. We painted figures using paints (with our fingers or brush), dabbing with a cloth and splashing.  At the end of one day, we put up all the figures on a display-board, from smallest to biggest, to make a crowd scene.

World Book Day

Everyone has really enjoyed World Book Day today and it has been fantastic to see the enthusiasm that the children have shown for reading. As well as dressing up as their favourite book character the children started the
day with a special World Book Day assembly, there has been a book 'swap and drop' event and all classes have
worked on the picture book “Journey” by Aaron Becker as well as other book related activities.
